REFUNDS

Due to our product being a food item, all sales are final and non refundable.

We encourage customers to taste and work with KAKAO intimately before ordering a bulk bag.

Please note that we source our cacao from wild farms and the taste may change from time to time. Please allow for a small adjustment period, especially if you’ve been working with other types of cacao recently. The taste and aroma of cacao changes drastically across the board depending on the type of bean and harvesting methods used.

KAKAO is committed to sourcing directly from small wild farms and honoring the origins of this sacred gift from Mother Earth. Thank you for your support of KAKAO and the joint mission of restoring heart-openness in the world.

To return a non food item, the product must be shipped back undamaged and unused, and will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. Please email hello@flykakao.com

 

SHIPPING & LOST PACKAGES

KAKAO is not liable for lost or stolen packages. The risk of loss and ownership for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier. We offer very low cost third party shipping insurance at checkout. This will protect your package in case of theft, damage in transit, or loss, and entitle you to either a refund or re-order simply and easily.

It is your responsibility as a customer to provide the correct, deliverable, physical address for delivery. For undeliverable shipments returned to us, please send an updated delivery address to hello@flykakao.com with your order number and country. We will send you an invoice for postage to send to the new or corrected address once the original shipment returns to us.

After placing your order, please keep an eye out for your package delivery. KAKAO left in a hot location will melt. If your KAKAO melts, click here.

While rare, sometimes shipping carriers i.e. USPS or UPS can make mistakes. We offer affordable shipping insurance to protect your orders from unforeseen circumstances like theft, damage in transit or loss. Please add at checkout - it will entitle you to a refund if your package does not get to you. KAKAO is not liable for lost or stolen packages in any circumstance.

 

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Please know that shipments outside the United States may be subject to import charges, which are the responsibility of the purchaser. KAKAO does not collect the VAT, duties and/or taxes and cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If your order does require these additional charges, they must be paid in order for your package to clear customs.
