KAKAO is a high-vibe, ceremonial 'drinking chocolate' (100% whole-bean Cacao, native variety). Our cacao is sourced from Guatemala (in the native strain called 'Criollo') and Peru (in the native strain called 'Chuncho'). These are very rare, hard to come by strains of cacao, and we have searched far and wide for the truest, ceremonial-grade cacao available. A large part of KAKAO's mission is to help save/protect these native strains.

PURE Ingredients:

+ 100% Peruvian, Ceremonial-Grade cacao beans (chuncho) 

Ceremonial Dose of KAKAO Recipe:

+ 8 oz hot water
+ 28g-40g of PURE Cacao (please go gently)
+ 1 spoonful coconut oil
+ 1 tsp vanilla extract
+ Sweetener of choice: honey/coconut sugar/maple syrup (our favorite is Panela, buy here)
+ Dash cayenne pepper

Blend all ingredients in a blender safe for hot liquids, for a smooth & frothy drink!

Please sit ceremonially and with sacred intention with this cacao. Adjust dose for your own body and needs, as this is powerful medicine and it deserves 1-2 hours of conscious connection.

+ 1-3 spoonfuls coconut oil
+ 1-3 tsp vanilla extract
+ Sweetener of choice: panela/honey/coconut sugar/maple syrup
+ Dash cayenne pepper

Blend in a blender that is safe for hot liquids to eliminate separation*

*We use whole cacao beans and do not temper/process our cacao, meaning natural separation will occur.


We suggest you use the following:
* Large stockpot (or several medium-large saucepans)**
* High Quality Immersion Blender: Click here for example.
+ 30 grams Pure Peruvian KAKAO per person
+ 7oz water per person (can be heated on stove OR use hot-water kettles)
+ Coconut Oil (few spoonfuls depending on size of group)
+ 5-10 tsp vanilla extract (depending on size of group)
+ Sweetener of choice: panela/honey/coconut sugar/maple syrup
+ Dash cayenne pepper
